Can’t afford therapy? Same. Check out Open Path

September 8, 2019

Dude, I don’t know how nobody is aware of this resource.

Not independently wealthy? No health insurance? Health insurance that doesn’t cover mental health intervention?

Check out Open Path.

How does it work?

You pay $50 ONE TIME to access their full roster of licensed therapists. Then, you shop around for the right specialty and therapy method. When you have a therapist chosen – contact them and make arrangements. You’ll negotiate an hourly rate and set up your first appointment.

Other worries?

What do I consider a reasonable rate? I pay $30 per session. Yeah.

If you decide they aren’t the right therapist for you – no worries, just pick again. Find your match.

Is it legit?

Yep, I’ve been using it for over a year and a half now and recommended it to many folks. My therapist is a BA – she works for Emory full time and has her own private practice on the side.

Open Path is the only reason I can afford to see such a highly trained professional trauma therapist. Or any therapist. I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t discovered this option.
